In the early 1980s, when early childhood stimulation was still relatively new in the Philippines, the International Center for Beginning Beginners (ICBB) set out to introduce children as young as 12 months old to the joy of reading.
Our pioneering sight reading program for infants and toddlers quickly proved successful. With no advertising, word spread from one parent to another, and enrollment grew steadily. From this humble beginning, ICBB was born.
For more than 40 years, ICBB has been a second home to children ages 1 to 6. Today, we are a trusted preschool in San Juan City, BGC, and Makati City, providing a nurturing early childhood education program that inspires curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.
While much has changed over the decades, our commitment remains the same: to give young children a meaningful start in life and to meet the high standards of parents who want the very best for their children.
ICBB takes an eclectic, child centered approach to early learning. We draw from a variety of teaching strategies and thoughtfully design each activity to support the whole child, building cognitive, social, emotional, and motor skills while making every preschool experience engaging and memorable.
Early reading remains at the heart of our program. Literature serves as the foundation of the ICBB curriculum and provides a natural springboard for exploring ideas, developing language, and connecting topics and concepts across different areas of learning.
Through stories, play, movement, exploration, and hands on activities, children are encouraged to discover the world with curiosity and confidence.

Young children are naturally curious, and their minds are constantly taking in the world around them. Children learn through movement and active exploration. Every day at ICBB includes opportunities for children to move, play, and use their bodies as they discover their environment. These experiences support the development of both gross and fine motor skills while encouraging healthy, active habits.
